Shaping Surgical Excellence Through Live STEPS Hernia Surgery Training

On April 11, 2026, the STEPS Minimally Invasive Hernia Program was successfully performed at Mohak Bariatrics & Robotics in Indore. This focused training initiative was designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of advanced hernia surgery techniques in a real-time clinical environment.

I had the opportunity to begin the program by interacting with the participants, sharing my journey in laparoscopic, bariatric, and robotic surgery, and setting the tone for an engaging, knowledge-driven experience. The enthusiasm and curiosity of the attendees created a highly interactive learning environment from the very beginning.

A key highlight of the program was the live demonstration of advanced minimally invasive surgeries. During the course of the program, I performed more than eight complex laparoscopic procedures, including:

  • • Bariatric Surgery
  • • Laparoscopic IPOM Plus
  • • Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
  • • Laparoscopic Right Inguinal TAPP
  • • Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication
  • • Laparoscopic Bilateral Inguinal Hernia Repair
  • • TAPP
  • • Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy with Nissen Fundoplication

Each procedure was performed with detailed step-by-step explanations, providing participants with valuable insights into surgical techniques, decision-making, and patient safety.

The program witnessed participation from more than ten professionals representing various cities across the country. Their active involvement and exchange of ideas added immense value to the overall learning experience, effectively bridging the gap between theory and practice.

The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, marking the successful completion of the program. Interacting with such dedicated professionals was truly a rewarding experience.

Initiatives like the STEPS Hernia Program reflect our continued commitment to advancing surgical education and empowering healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
