In the last 50 days, at Jain Diwakar Sri Aurobindo Hospital, Ratlam, we’ve really come a big point, completing more than 500 laparoscopic and robotic operations. For me, this is not only about numbers, but it’s also more like a sign that people are placing real faith in us and that our teamwork is moving forward; together we are trying to make better surgical treatment possible closer to home.

The kinds of cases we handled were quite varied, like inguinal and other hernias, gallbladder stones, appendicitis, hiatal hernias, and several other advanced issues linked to the gut and digestion. A lot of these patients, earlier they would have been asked to go to bigger cities for care, you know, farther away. Now, with current minimally invasive methods plus robotic surgery techniques, we can offer care that feels at par with world standards, right here in the region. That means patients get the experience they need without the high cost of long travel and delays for treatment.

What makes this milestone a bit especially meaningful is the impact it creates on patient outcomes. With laparoscopic and robotic surgery, we’re able to carry out intricate procedures with more precise control, smaller incisions, less discomfort, reduced time in hospital, and a more rapid return to normal activity. But most importantly, this approach lets people go back to their families, back to work, and into everyday routines with confidence and a calmer kind of comfort.

I have completed more than 15,000 laparoscopic and robotic surgeries across my own surgical path, and I truly believe the next chapter of healthcare will come from blending clinical skill with technological innovation.
