Today, I had the privilege of leading the Live Hernia Surgical Workshop 2026 at Mohak Hi-Tech Hospital, Indore. The workshop brought together surgeons and healthcare professionals for a full day of focused academic discussions, operating room orientation, and live surgical demonstrations.

Throughout the workshop, we performed and discussed a diverse range of advanced procedures, including Robotic Hernia Repair, Laparoscopic TAPP/TEP Repair, Laparoscopic IPOM Plus, Bariatric Surgery, Fundoplication, and Anti-Reflux Surgery. By sharing live surgical decision-making, operative strategies, and technical nuances in real time, the objective was to bridge the gap between theory and practical application.

The workshop provided an opportunity to discuss not only advanced hernia repair techniques but also the evolving role of minimally invasive and robotic approaches in bariatric and gastrointestinal surgery, helping participants gain practical insights into modern surgical care.

What made this program especially rewarding was the enthusiastic participation and interaction from the attending surgeons. Modern hernia surgery continues to evolve rapidly, and platforms like these play an important role in helping surgeons stay up to date with the latest minimally invasive and robotic techniques.

I strongly believe that surgical excellence grows when knowledge is shared openly. Every workshop is an opportunity not only to demonstrate advanced procedures but also to learn from collective experiences, discussions, and different perspectives.

As minimally invasive and robotic surgery continues to redefine patient care, our responsibility as surgeons extends beyond the operating room. It includes mentoring, training, and creating opportunities that help the next generation of surgeons adopt safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered surgical practices.
