Being awarded a PhD in General Surgery is truly a moment of honor
Achieving a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in General Surgery from Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, Jabalpur, marks a deeply meaningful milestone in my professional journey. This accomplishment represents not just an academic degree but years of focused learning, clinical dedication, and a strong commitment to advancing surgical science.
My research work, centered on comparing One Anastomosis Gastric Bypass (OAGB) and Banded OAGB, has further strengthened my understanding of bariatric and metabolic surgery. It has been an opportunity to contribute to evidence-based practices that can improve patient outcomes and refine surgical decision-making.
This journey has been both challenging and rewarding. Balancing clinical responsibilities, surgical practice, and research required discipline, perseverance, and continuous learning. Throughout this process, I have been fortunate to receive invaluable guidance from my mentors and unwavering support from my colleagues and family. Their encouragement played a crucial role in achieving this milestone.
For me, this PhD is not the end of a journey, but the beginning of a greater responsibility, to integrate research with clinical practice, innovate with purpose, and continuously strive for excellence in patient care.
Moving forward, I remain committed to advancing minimally invasive and bariatric surgery, contributing to academic research, and mentoring the next generation of surgeons. The ultimate goal remains clear: to deliver safer, more effective, and patient-centric surgical solutions.
